I think "treason" and "taking up arms against the USA" are pretty good on-the-fly answers to "where does it stop?"

I think that would be pretty confusing if someone was asking about Taney or Rizzo

that would be a different conversation, and more oriented on Philly. i don't accept the idea that the two conversations have to build on each other.

The Rizzo thing had been a point of focus for BLM and other recent movements anyway, so given the focus on removing monuments to white supremacists it seems like a good time. The city shuffled its feet responding to those people so they're applying pressure. Asa Khalif said "by Christmas" but given the string of vandalism I think it'll be addressed in shorter order.

yeah, jersey previewed that messaging for us a few weeks ago. unfortunately these aren't self reflective types. they will try to pretend Trump isn't their baby, pretend it's the Dems or Obama's fault somehow. they won't look inward to see that Trump is an accurate reflection of their politics over the last 20+ years.

Best case scenario is they all get dumped from the White House, republicans distance themselves from Trump/Trump supporters ("they were never real republicans anyway!"), Trump supporters (a sizeable chunk of modern day republicans) begin to hate the Republican Party, and democrats and centrists are galvanized/motivated.

It could lead to a relatively powerful third party of straight up nazis, but it would weaken the republicans enough to let a blue wave crash over the country.
