The current regime may not have been in power for that long a time, relatively speaking, but all they're doing right now is changing the country at which their threat is pointed.

Might be wishful thinking at this point, but I doubt Trump is seriously going to consider starting a war when nuclear retaliation is a credible, or semi-credible threat.

North Korea keeps up the threats because it can do little else outside actually start a war. Trump has much more room to maneuver without getting a bunch of the world blown up.

One was caused when a b52 crashed into a refueling jet. the b52 was carrying 4 hydrogen bombs. one was found undetonated, 2 detonated on impact fortunately in a small fishing village, contaminating about a square mile. somehow no one died. the area is still contaminated to this day, 50 years later. the fourth was found about 3 months later undetonated.

as long as fixed means making sure really really rich people consolidate more and more money and further decimate the middle class, you are definitely right. that and creating culture wars and demonizing people trying to just live their lives the best they can are what drives the GOP.

our nuclear plants are old in the US; i'd be for upgrading them/building new ones, but i know it's a touchy subject for many.
