That actually is potentially good news. The Dems have a chance of picking up that seat because he is reviled by the fiscally conservative, socially centrist business community that usually votes for the GOP.

Apples and oranges. The hatred for Moore, who is a committed theocrat, goes deep. Trump, OTOH, has always been a part of the establishment. Moore would still be favored but the Dem would have better than a long shot.

if he gets through the primary, he'll probably win.

Primary GOP voters are far more conservative than the general electorate so it is not a foregone conclusion. However, I am no Pollyanna...I realize whoever makes it through the primary will be the odds-on favorite. The point I am making is that Moore is the only GOP candidate who is not a slam dunk to win the general.
