I was thinking about this, because while the stock market and the unemployment numbers look good, the basic economy is still the same one allegedly leaving the white working class behind. So, presumably, they're still left behind, though now maybe it's a little easier to get that third $10 an hour job, but at some point, won't people take their resentment out on the guy who is telling them how great everything is while their lives are still materially worse? Or will the fact that brown people are getting arrested and beat up and deported enough to get them over the fact that their electricity is about to be cut off?

I dunno. How much effect has the great again America ceding power in Iraq , afghanistan , syria, North Korea etc. had on the true believers?

Right while Donald's "bum foot" that he picked up in military school, no shit, kept him sidelined in New York City to keep the ladies company or some bull shit from his book I think.

In fact, Trump got his first two student deferments while at Fordham University, then He was briefly reclassified as "available for military service" before getting a third student deferment at the University of Pennsylvania, then a fourth a few months before he graduated from college. He was again reclassified as "available for military service" for a couple months after graduation, But got a medical deferment--deeming him available for warfighting "only in a time of national emergency"--in October 1968 for unspecified reasons.

Takes real balls for a draft dodger to call out someone else.

Although Pence the swore on mother Pence's honor that he has no designs on the White House, that story line will not die here in DC. There was a news report even this evening to talk more or less about succession planning for when Trump stumbles, or if they need to oppose him in the elections, and they cleanly and clearly put Pence as I spoke on that wheel.

yeh, the first thing my brother said was how well the stock market is doing.

The big difference is foreign policy failures don't affect our day to day life in the way the economy does. And the problem with the stock market is that for many people, it also doesn't have a direct impact in the same way that waves and prices do.

I also wonder that one thing that is happening now is less osha enforcement. I don't know how ordinary people feel about thatkond of thing, but I'd like to think declines in workplace safety is sometbi people care about.

From the news, reporting on stupid:

US May Begin Airstrikes Against ISIS in Philippines

Need a fourth front

The RNC says Trump’s jobs numbers are ‘unprecedented,’ because words don’t matter anymore

Actually the title of the article. Unbelievable is it the numbers are not actually comparable to the same number of months before he became president, but the actual party is blowing smoke. It's not that the numbers are bad, it's just that they're not unprecedented. New motto the party is, hey are fucking liars too .

it's the little things:
U.S. officials are abandoning plans to require sleep apnea screening for truck drivers and train engineers, a decision that safety experts say puts millions of lives at risk.

The Federal Railroad Administration and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said late last week that they are no longer pursuing the regulation that would require testing for the fatigue-inducing disorder that's been blamed for deadly rail crashes in New York City and New Jersey and several highway crashes.
The agencies argue that it should be up to railroads and trucking companies to decide whether to test employees. One railroad that does test, Metro-North in the New York City suburbs, found that 11.6 percent of its engineers have sleep apnea.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was disappointed the agencies decided to scrap the "much-needed rulemaking."
"Obstructive sleep apnea has been in the probable cause of 10 highway and rail accidents investigated by the NTSB in the past 17 years and obstructive sleep apnea is an issue being examined in several, ongoing, NTSB rail and highway investigations," NTSB spokesman Christopher O'Neil said.

That actually is potentially good news. The Dems have a chance of picking up that seat because he is reviled by the fiscally conservative, socially centrist business community that usually votes for the GOP.
