Played a DANGEROUS GAME and WON. Because that's the kind of rebel I am.

Was scheduled for jury duty Monday, when I'll be eclipse chasing in South Carolina. Rather than getting rescheduled right off the bat, I figure I'd wait to see if I actually was needed to report before calling for a resched, because I assume that court is like ever other business- lots of vacay makes the last few weeks of summer slow. Just checked the website. "Our records indicate YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO REPORT for jury service on Monday, August 21, 2017. Your name will be returned to the pool for subsequent service. Thank you for your participation and time in your service as a prospective juror."

Weddings at the local volunteer fire hall are usually pretty casual. I hope you didn't overdress.

Ever taken a nap & on immediately awakening been disappointed at feeling more rather than less tired/groggy, only to be hit with a delayed version of that wonderful burst of renewed energy you take a nap for 20 or 30 minutes later?
