Got to admit, that seemed like the wrong move for DeBlasio. The bumper sticker of, 'Mayor skipping the funeral to go protest at the G20 (i.e., the president)' is lousy optics. When you, Trump, are being chipped and shredded daily about bad decision making, and lack of caring, he has found another New Yorker to deflect toward.

very important nations and leaders are there that de Blasio gets to directly meet and sell NYC to them as places to interact with and bring business. nothing beats face-to-face contact.

i don't really understand bashing mayors for attending important conferences; i'm sure i've done it in the past on this very board and i was probably wrong.

he's gone to plenty of officer funerals and they sent a representative. part of the negativity de Blasio is getting is that he spoke with protesters.

I love the spin that the Russian meeting w/ Jr. was just oppo research and that it happens all the time.
