well yes, barring that.

If they do, they're #$!&@ and we will have single payer by 2022 #hawttaek

I never was one for the #$!&@ it, blow it up approach some people took to voting against Hillary/not voting at all, but at this point Democrats getting control of both houses of the Congress and the White House back by 2022 seems inevitable. If the GOP gets rid of this last filibuster, the only thing we need to hope for in the next 3ish years is no other vacancies on the Court.

Not even the GOP is dumb enough for that. I don't think the country could operate knowing there Could be DRASTIC policy changes every 2-8 years. Besides if gerrymandering can be fixed and the changing demographics continue the democrats would simply have to get out of their own way to bring socialism to the US
I would rather see you lose than win myself

Sobering recognition that a large part of America has no care about stuff happening in DC, especially with Trump The self identified Republican supporters are especially troubling as they moved from distrust to the normalization of abhorrent behavior.

WaPo's Fact Checkers have documented 623 false and misleading claims made by Trump during his first 137 days in office, but the GOP has him at 81% trustworthy. Think about that. People cannot even reconcile his flip-flops so fast it looks like a fish on the deck of a boat, but he is somehow a truth teller? So says that not insignificant number of people.

In his own words:

“The final key to the way I promote is bravado,” he explained in “The Art of the Deal.” “I play to people’s fantasies. … A little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole.”

Senator Dean Heller is now fine with a 7 year phaseout of the Medicaid expansion.

Nevada just voted to allow their citizens to buy into Medicaid.

So we elect a reality TV "star" and serial liar and "bankruptor" and Britain elects Gary Busey. What a world!

Totally thought that was Curt Schilling.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Nicolle Wallace had this to say about Trump Jr.'s verbal attacks on Comey:

“For a guy who kills baby elephants for kicks to be giving James Comey a lesson in character and strength of character is rich at best and pathetic at worst.”

Smoking hot and kick ass.

I guess you could just watch one of Ben Sasse's 492,000 interviews over the last few weeks

I'm honestly asking. Would be interesting to listen to now.

Not a big podcast guy, so I don't listen to these every week, but I am subscribed to:

Commentary Magazine Podcast - OK. Comes out twice a week so usually it's current and focused on the issues of the day. All three of them strongly dislike the president. John Podhoretz talks too much.
GLoP Culture - Only comes out once or twice a month so sometimes they're talking about not as recent stuff, and as the title implies they talk movies and TV and other stuff in addition to politics. Probably the only one of these I listen to more than half of the episodes.
The Ricochet Podcast - Sometimes their guests are a bit too pro Trump, and Peter Robinson has been a bit anti-anti Trump on the last few episodes I've listened to, but I like Rob Long and Lileks (sp?) has a great voice.
Mad Dogs and Englishmen - Sometimes interesting takes. Sometimes really dumb. Comes out sporadically.
The Fifth Estate Podcast - Interview based, so really depends on who the guest is, and not all of them are about politics let alone current events.
