Yeah, this seems to be the story here. Dennis Whitfield is the name of the senior adviser who works for the consulting group raided today. He has ties to Manafort and Stone from his days at BKSH.

Back to the pres. Hatch thing: remember when lg talked about how the dems wouldn't want to see all this Russian stuff come to out because many of them are involved? Because I see no reason why Russian campaign money wouldn't flow to dems as well, so....and don't forget, ussr money to us political groups was pretty common, so they certainly have a tradition there.

if I'm not mistaken, collusion would be about more than money. Blithely accepting an over the transom donation from a shady donor is bad. But worse is doing things for that money, promising to do things for that money, extensive meetings with the money conduits about how to get that money etc - that's where the action is. Harrison Williams went down for taking money to do stuff, not for receipt of a fortuitous envelope full of dough.
