Then news cycles have gotten around to wondering what the deal is using the MOAB.

** I took a look and there are 3 things with the FAE

1. Apparently the name is Thermobaric
2. A usage is identified as cave clearing
3. Assad apparently like to use these as part of his horror campaign

FAE is some badass stuff. Very scary.

But this was a huge explosive device. Meant to crumble the caves. Not sure if it worked but it should have. Kinda like a Daisy Cutter but more powerful and more accurate.

I am curious if an over pressure bomb can crush caves. I likened it to the Daisy Cutter to create LZs, but air burst versus Thermobaric was my premise. I know its being reported as a success in smashing caves, but everything is reported as a success. I guess I will go with trusting that planners that sent the bus drivers delivering the MOAB know what they are doing.

Hey, SefDef Mattis called ISIS- DASH, I though the Trumpkins heated that.

Another reveal is that this was another option on the shelf from the planners in the Obama administration.

Student loans are a symptom or byproduct of a much bigger issue - college tuition is absurdly high and no longer guarantees anyone usable skillets to monetize.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

DeVos Undoes Obama Student Loan Protections
Trump’s education secretary wants to limit costs at a time when more than 1 million Americans are annually defaulting.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on Tuesday rolled back an Obama administration attempt to reform how student loan servicers collect debt.

Obama issued a pair (PDF) of memorandums (PDF) last year requiring that the government’s Federal Student Aid office, which services $1.1 trillion in government-owned student loans, do more to help borrowers manage, or even discharge, their debt. But in a memorandum (PDF) to the department’s student aid office, DeVos formally withdrew the Obama memos.

The previous administration’s approach, DeVos said, was inconsistent and full of shortcomings. She didn’t detail how the moves fell short, and her spokesmen, Jim Bradshaw and Matthew Frendewey, didn’t respond to requests for comment.

But there is more:

1. There is a college for everybody - That is not snark, but the business of college has opened up massive expansion
2. Today's lower end jobs require a college degree - There is not really professional lower end jobs anymore that are not being dealt with by technology (secretary, receptionist, tier 1 support, travel agent, etc.)

Student loans are the delivery mechanism for creating generations of indentured servitude as part of an unholy trinity among the government, banks and colleges. The government passes the law which makes student loans non-dischargeable in bankruptcy, the banks agree to lend the money to otherwise unqualified loan applicants and make their profits because their risk is minimized and the colleges stoke the fire by supplying much higher tuitions than the market would otherwise bear.

The only difference between this and indentured servitude from centuries ago is that rather than working for one master for X number of years, the servant works for multiple masters in the form of bank shareholders and, ironically enough, the very people who should be working for them -- the college. The fact that the colleges don't deliver marketable skills is just an unintended consequence since the racket is intended to enrich shareholders and colleges. Delivering a quality education is not even one of the goals of the enterprise.

It's simply another owner/rental scam: Students don't own the education they work and pay for, they merely lease it from banks and colleges.

college is still basically a requirement for young people looking for a job unless you go into a trade. the price is unbelievable right now but it's still probably worth it (mostly for science/engineering). i'd only go to a state school, probably 2 years at a psu branch, 2 years at main.

I count myself in the same boat. I can state emphatically that I would not be where I am today without my degrees. It was a long and financially painful road to pay off my student debt but it was ultimately worth it. I must note, however, that college was substantially cheaper when I finished both of my degrees and I did not rack up doctor or lawyer-type tuition bills.

I'd go to a state school too. If that was too expensive 2 years at community college then 2 year at state school.

I change my answer to what ju said. I'd go to UD (in state tuition is a must) for chem engineering, way better job prospects coming out

Actually knowing what I know now I'd have gotten into a diff field entirely I think, maybe computer engineering or electrical eng.
