Winning Price's old seat would be a plum, plus it happens in April, plus it looks to be a wild scrum

Feels like I remember reading that at least one of the other 3 is not D winnable
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Special elections are weird. Dems win statewide in Montana pretty regularly. GA-06 was only a Trump district by a point.

Montana is weird because that's a statewide seat, correct? Guess that one depends on who they get.

Yeah Montana is statewide. They are right on the cusp of adding a 2nd seat in 2020 reapportionment, will be very close.

Holy shit, I cannot believe anybody could be so obtuse as to not be disgusted by Trump using the death of a US serviceman for political gain. What the fuck was so "presidential" about recognizing the widow of the SEAL that Trump, himself, sent to his death in a poorly planned operation?

This is the equivalent of a fireman setting a house on fire and then being called a hero for putting it out. Trump and his administration continually calling the Yemen mission "highly successful" is an affront to all of our servicemen and women. I did not serve but my brother and uncle did and I cannot imagine regarding a mission in which one of them was killed as a "success". One dead American hero, 20 dead innocent civilians and a $75 million Osprey destroyed. If that is a highly successful mission, what does a failure look like?

I definitely felt that it was exploitative, but I don't trust my own judgment on such matters, as I'm a pretty damn cynical dude. I basically felt two emotions while it was happening: (1) utter disgust for the President and our civilian government chickenhawk leaders, and (2) devastation for Carryn Owens and her children.

I'm glad to hear that members of our military and veterans were equally disgusted by it.

i think most that are bashing this hold these two distinct views; haven't noticed many 'f the grieving widow' takes, but it would appear plenty are interpreting being upset with #1 as that. this kind of crap happened before and during the Iraq War.

i'm usually for creating less grieving widows, which is why i've defended portions of the drone usage.
