I guess the same people who thought drum circles during the occupy protests were effective are the ones now complaining about this.

District carried by Obama by 19 points in 2012, 13 point win for Clinton in 2016, 21 points by Carney getting elected governor in 2016. Dem wins tonight by 17 points. BIG SWING

Those were presidential election years. Dems don't usually turn out for the other elections.

we'll see how much sessions can hold down turnout when he gets his anti-democracy machine up and running. Gotta keep people from voting, you know.

from what i'm reading about the new tax structure the republicans are suggesting a lot of middle class people are not going to like it - eliminate local and state tax deductions?? eliminate mortgage interest deductions?? tax health case benefits? huh? I am going to have to look up the definition of populism again

really glad that Bannon, Jared Kushner & Trump with all of their foreign policy experience were able to make time in their dinner plans to execute this botched Yemen raid.

The father of William "Ryan" Owens, the Navy SEAL Team 6 member who was the first US combat death during US President Donald Trump's presidency in January, urged the Trump administration to not "hide behind my son's death" and provide answers.

In an interview with the Miami Herald, Bill Owens, also a Navy veteran, called for an investigation into the raid that left his son, an eight-year-old girl, and as many as 29 civilians dead.

US military sources told Reuters that the fledgling Trump administration executed the raid "without sufficient intelligence, ground support, or adequate backup preparations."

Waiting for him to just blame the military. And Obama for letting the enemy become so strengthened.

It is not quite as bad as looks at first blush. While the GOP does seek to kill some popular itemized deductions and tax a certain percentage of healthcare benefits, not to mention eliminate the personal exemptions, they are also proposing to at least double, if not close to triple, the standard deduction. Some lower-middle and middle-middle class folks will likely come out slightly ahead. Of course, the biggest benefactors will be the wealthy.

That and that alone is why republicans are staying mostly quiet. Can't run the risk of this guy not signing. With that said, Trump isn't going to sign anything without GETTING FULL CREDIT FOR THE IDEA. and he may not sign it if he doesn't get a chance to add whatever he wants to add.
