If ANY of this is for business, it's illegal, no?

Yeah, the Federal Records Act requires all communications done for governmental purposes to be preserved, and the 2014 amendment clarified that it applied to electronic records.

Prohibits the President, the Vice President, or a covered employee (i.e., the immediate staff of the President and Vice President or office advising and assisting the President or Vice President) from creating or sending a presidential or vice presidential record using a non-official electronic messaging account unless the President, Vice President, or covered employee: (1) copies an official electronic messaging account of the President, Vice President, or covered employee in the original creation or transmission of the presidential or vice presidential record; or (2) forwards a complete copy of the presidential record to an official electronic messaging account of the President, Vice President, or covered employee not later than 20 days after the original creation or transmission of the presidential or vice presidential record.

Hypocrisy or no, this is a legit problem.

need an app that deletes the sender. not sender's message, the sender.

hand drumpf a phone with the app loaded up, tell him the fake media called him a short-fingered pussy, let technology take its course.

No matter your opinion of what happened, it was actually pretty amazing that he engaged with the press for so long. Sure, the results were mixed depending on your view (cheering or fearing), but it was fairly unprecedented. It might have been the longest press engagement directly of any president (just throwing out a guess). I am not sure that I ever saw one that featured the words to the press: "SIT DOWN! BE QUIET!"

I thought that the NY Daily News was Trump Crazy, but I guess not with a headline like "Press conference shows something is wrong with our President "

NY Post is the tabloid rag you're thinking of, owned by Murdoch and endorsed Trump. NY Daily News is the rag that hates Trump.

He's going to Mar-lago again this weekend? I thought it was just a love in rally and then back to the office.

BTW - He has mercifully avoided Trump National. I say that because it is near my home, in fact I had my wedding reception there (it was the Lowes Island Club then), and if he visited it would completely screw our already super shitty traffic and bassakwards unplanned infrastructure (i.e., the roads were Native American and Animal trails that were eventually laid out as roads mostly by the colonials, in fact the major route from DC to where Trump National is, and beyond, was formalized in 1739). Perhaps he can play at Andrews or Army/Navy.

he's going to his people by hitting South Carolina today and Florida tomorrow. For example, there's a person that swears he'd have closed his business down if Clinton won but he doubled-down with Trump being elected.

Michael Short, Senior Assistant to Sean Spicer responded to the AP tweet saying "Not true." Since the Trump administration has been above the board on everything, let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

TBH, this is probably like the LGBT leaked order, a trial balloon or a distraction, with no real outlook.

A few year back, my daughter would have a somewhat recurring nightmare about soldiers marching down our street in the middle of the night, breaking into house and whatnot. I would tell her it was just a dream and nothing like that would ever happen. Thanks for making me a liar like you President Agent Orange.

So apparently the AP sought confirmation from WH and DHS on their story, but neither responded, then the story hits and the WH decries it. Speculation on Twitter by Nate Silver (and others) is that this allows the WH to scream FAKE NEWS.

Costa said there is a way Trump could lose support in South Carolina. "If he goes out and mass murders people, I think he'd lose support. But that's not going to happen," she said

There's exactly nothing in the AP story to substantiate their headline that Trump is considering mobilizing the national guard to do this. Whether the WH confirms/denies/ignores requests for comments, that's a pretty massive hole in the middle of the story.

SEIU endorsed Keith Ellison. I'm can't remember if this is a recent development or not but between the AFL-CIO and SEIU that's pretty important for Democratic politics.
