And most of the bashers are focused on Ashley Judd and Madonna, who were apparently running their mouths.

But liberals are the ones obsessed with celebrities. Riiiight.

Donald Trump has 21 actor credits and 19 producer credits to his name. Ronald Reagan was a B-list actor in the late 30s and 40s. This celebrity nonsense is just that.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make light of it. I hope she can stay strong.

I would try not to worry about it; if she's going to continue to do actions she will have to get used to it to a certain extent. Find solace in the supportive people, of which there many. It can be upsetting but hopefully she can deal with it well.

have friends who have bashed it as well.

posted a photo on instagram of a girl holding a "this pussy grabs back" sign. (https://www.instagram.com/p/BPkfNGyAojp ... cachristy1) i think it is powerful because when a people group is maligned or insulted they can take those insults and wear them as a badge. it is empowering that way.

had a friends father, who i am very close with, text me saying he had to unfollow me because politics have become to coarse (this man voted for trump). we then went civilly back and forth a bit. he said he had to vote for him because of policies and the future for his grandchildren and that bill clinton had an affair!

anyways, told a friend this morning about that text this morning.

she is pushing the well the march doesnt matter! where were they in september when they should have been knocking on doors. it doesnt matter bc they wont do anything now either!

i fucking hate people.

which is incredibly frustrating, because how do you know they didnt or how do you know they arent or how do you know they wont.

There was an article in the WaPo this weekend about a woman in Williamsport who went from being a diehard conservative to supporting Hillary and attending the DC march this weekend. Needless to say, she's pretty isolated from similar thinkers where she lives. What was really uplifting about the story was how she came to this decision on her own despite having a pretty tough life.

Soren, have her read the article. It might give her strength despite her coworkers' nonsense. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/social-issues/shes-54-white-rural-and-a-lifelong-republican-why-is-she-protesting-donald-trump/2017/01/21/6457ac02-df41-11e6-918c-99ede3c8cafa_story.html

I mean, I get your friend's point, but it's okay that Nov. 8th was a wakeup call for a lot of people, including many of us on here. We can't change what happened... all we can do is appreciate the difficult, grinding work ahead of us.

Politics isn't easy, nor is it supposed to be easy. When someone is in doubt on that point, just tell them to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack. 8-)

It's almost like the GOP establishment is intentionally setting up Trump to fail by supporting his terrible cabinet pick.

Just trying to remain optimistic. I don't think the GOP is really going to be content with digging their own graves but perhaps I am wrong.

Republicans in the House have nothing to worry about and Republicans in the Senate mostly aren't up for re-election in 2 years, it's Democrats. the logistics of 2018 do not look good for Democrats, actually.

there is nothing that Trump can do that will ruin any republicans chances at re-election. The only thing that will ruin their chances is the (R) next to their name. So they might as well go whole hog with it and see what happens. Probably better to risk re-election on trumps side than not his side. The damage of electing trump is already done. Supporting him isn't going to cause some sudden uprise in the voting ranks.
