I was going to post something about the relative merits of Husker Du and The Replacements, but then I thought that really, despite a few superficial similarities (midwestern, 80s "alternative rock") the bands really had little in common and the comparison is dumb.

Jump to today - most nukes, most spying, most propoganda, most disdain for citizenry
lack of fairness
Giving corporation more rights than people
distracted culture in to cult of celebrity
most guns

So when I say "America is a sham" - I mean this idealized narrative of our specialness. Not that we haven't innovated or done anything.

All empires end. This one will too. Often it's bloody.

Planet Earth and Humanity will only survive long term if there is a paradigm shift, and we no longer have a "pharaoh class" - and it's more of a collective, egalitarian, and different driving forces for the entirety of purpose to exist at all.

So there's a bunch of unpopular opine jawnies ....
