I did not watch the show, but I heard good things about it. The only issue (pun intended) with the graphic novel is waiting for it to come out. Since you watched the show, I guess you have a broad understanding of the story's elements already so waiting shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Turtles All The Way Down is really terrific. Fascinating look at OCD/anxiety

It’s John Green and it follows his previous work to a certain degree but it’s much more personal because of his previous anxiety experiences

Been a long time since I read a book I enjoyed as much as Lincoln in the Bardo.

It's so good.

Turtles All The Way Down was decent enough. He's a good writer at least. Reading Evicted now and every page is somehow more infuriating than the last. Highly recommended!

Just finished the mandibles. Sort of atlas shrugged, but well written and without the lengthy pseudo intellectual pedantry.

Dune was awesome. I was a bit disappointed by the extremely abrupt ending and it could get a little ponderous at times down the home stretch but overall was a blast to read and rather thrilling at times. I think I was expecting big long walls of text establishing the mythology and culture of the universe so it was really nice that it drops you right into the action and has a lot of faith in the reader to just roll with it. I guess I could see that as frustrating to someone who was expecting more credible science or philosophy which is what I was kind of primed for by its reputation

(on a minor note, Yueh's role seemed like a weirdly glossed over plot-hole. not a big deal, but surprised it wasn't explained in some way)

I'm in the middle of hate-reading Trump stuff now.

Rick Wilson's book is funny enough. Probably 38% longer than necessary but I appreciate his visceral hate of President Fuckface.

House of Trump, House of Putin is a slower read but ultimately more interesting.....I'm not sure Unger is connecting the dots in any meaningful way but there sure is enough circumstantial evidence to establish that President Assclown is no better than a Russian Mafia Useful Idiot.

Looking forward to Woodward's book in a few weeks. Gonna hate-read my way to the mid-terms, bitches.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Susan Sontag's Regarding the Pain of Others was a really powerful and compact reflection on how we as individuals and society interact with war photography and think about suffering around the world. I'll be thinking about it for a while

Finished the 7th(and so far last) book of the First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. Pretty great series. Anyone into 'adult' fantasy should listen asap. It'll fill that GoT void nicely. Not nearly as complex but the character development is tops

Stephen King's "Hearts in Atlantis" is set in 1966 and in one scene to guys hi-five. The high five wasn't around until the late 1970s.

In related news, you could've given me a hundred guesses before reading the book and I wouldn't have come close to guessing what the title referred to.
