I think my dad bought me one share when I was born...after splits it's 12 now. Will be a nice little gift whenever I decide to sell it.

The standalone SW film in 2018 is going to be a Han Solo origin story. Written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, and directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord (the Lego Movie guys).

Talk about one of the toughest/most delicate casting jobs in movie history.

The other big SW news from yesterday is that Vader will be in Rogue One. Fucking awesome.

I'd be concerned with how they handle the character, but his appearance in the S2 premiere of Star Wars Rebels was fantastic. As in, if that 45-minute episode were released to the theater instead of Disney XD, it would probably rank third in my favorite Star Wars film list behind Empire and the original film.

The first chapter of Star Wars: Aftermath was released yesterday. As the name suggests, it picks up after the events of ROTJ. Based on this excerpt, it's already a more promising post-ROTJ book than Truce at Bakura. And it features Wedge!

http://www.starwars.com/news/chaos-throttles-the-capital-in-star-wars-aftermath-special-excerpt

I thought the open was fairly compelling, even if I'm not sure that I buy that the Empire has already been pushed into the Outer Rim. Seems like Coruscant would've been incredibly well-protected, regardless of the book's explanation that the best and brightest soldiers/officers were on the Death Star and the Executor. The Rebels took some damn big losses to its capital fleet at Endor too.

But no matter what, I'm looking forward to this being on my doorstep on September 4th.

It's actually perfect. They don't have to worry about it seeming like he's speaking another language. Just pretend he's speaking Huttese.

Disney announces creation of "Star Wars" Theme Parks

guess it's kind of appropriate that this article is in CNN's "Money" section, eh
