And this is why I really did not want to play the Yankees in the WS. Lose to the Angels and that's fine. Hell, I can even be slightly happy to see Abreu get a ring.

Lose to the Yankees and it really really sucks. Winning the NL is a big deal and this just takes all the wind out of it.

All, let's go Lee.

Lidge had real good stuff, but he and Ruiz screwed up on pitch selection beginning with Damon. I can't understand why they went away from the slider since it was worked very well from the get go.

What a shame, but there's always tomorrow.

They can never take 2008 away. Repeating is near impossible.

It didn't even fucking matter. If someone's covering, Damon doesn't go. And Damon scores from second anyway because Brad Lidge blows goats.

well, I really think the yanks have had more than their share of good luck the past few games with bad calls and some lucky hits. If that swings back to the Phils, and there's no reason it can't, we could get right back in this thing. I like us to win tomorrow and I like us in game 7. Game 6 will be the hard one because we don't matchup well against Pettitte, but there's no reason we can't win 3 straight.

Good god what a dickpunch of a game. I can't believe the Yanks had two hard hits all night and scored seven runs. Unlucky. Crappy. Whatever. I can't even think and I'm drunk and tomorrow is Monday.

need to beat burnett in a way that brings in a variety of yanx relievers for a drubbing as well.

Then they'd have to pitch whatizname for game 6

a 7 game series wouldn't be so bad
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I was dying watching that. 1-2 count, missed with the fastball. 2-2 count, missed with the fastball. 3-2, you have to throw a fastball, and obviously he's going to sit on it.

Then you throw two consecutive fastballs to the best hitter in baseball and don't think something awful's going to happen? You should be out of the fucking league for that.

He was asked whose fault it was and Charlie said that's normally the catcher's job, or the pitcher....

we were so going to win that game in the bottom of the ninth. it's probably irrational and unfair, but in my mind, right now (when i'm admittedly a wreck), brad lidge just cost us the world series.

If they can get to game six, I'd feel good against Pettitte on three days rest.
