He's probably left handed anyway.

I think that's true. I'm still fine with including Drabek as long as we aren't including Taylor or Brown. Assuming that Happ and Drabek form the core, I wouldn't include Carrasco either (just because we need some near major league ready pitching depth).
Happ, Drabek and Marson +/- some other spare part would be a very reasonable compromise for both parties. If we relent and agree to give up Drabek in addition to Happ, we shouldn't have to give too much else (despite the Jays' initial demands).
A person from a third team guessed Monday that the Red Sox would "swoop in" and get Roy Halladay from the Blue Jays before Friday's trade deadline. And perhaps Boston is getting involved.
The Red Sox were holding high-level meetings today, and one team official told FanHouse, "Something is going on."
As another Boston person said, "We're not going to let an impact player be moved without investigating."
Boston might need rotation help. Daisuke Matsuzaka and Tim Wakefield are on the disabled list and John Smoltz is 1-4 with a 7.04 ERA. But it will take a lot for Boston to get Halladay.
As one Toronto person put it, "We've got to get every last good guy you have, or we're not trading him."
Philadelphia has been believed to be the best fit for Halladay, and the pitcher's first choice. But the Phillies have not been willing to give up lefty J.A. Happ along with minor-league right-hander Kyle Drabek.

I seriously cant get over the fact that JA Happ is going to prevent us from getting Roy Halladay.
If I'd come to you March 5th and said "Guys, we can trade Kyle Drabek, JA Happ and Dominic Brown for Roy Halladay", there would have been a 99% approval rating on that deal.
Now all 3 of those guys are untradeable.
I feel partly responsible.

Are we assuming we're going to be sitting here waiting until Friday night to make a deal?
