Dunn and Zimmerman had game day unis that featured the spelling of the team name NATINALS. Very nice. They got them some clean blouses in the 4th.

Thought about it for a few days... I think I like "Natinals" better.

At least it's not as bad as...

Majestic apologized yesterday. I think that the saddest thing is that, unlike some of the others, I could (and may have) hear this being pronounced this way (put on a Hamden-Baltimore accent and it sounds about right).

Am I correct in understanding that this only happened in one game? What happened to Dunn/Zimmerman's other jerseys that prevented them from wearing those instead? I'm guessing no one noticed which is why they didn't put on another jersey until three innings later?
"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

mlb asked for three opening day jersies to be sent to them and replaced them with another shipment. someone said they pulled them out of the box, checked the name and number, but never thought to check to the front. the equipment manager was watching on tv and noticed the error and made the switch.

Somebody should have knocked the fire chief out. "Do you know who I am?", is any comment smarmier than that?

Well, I'd say it's smarmy if you have no actual jurisdiction. In this case, it's the guy's job to shut something down if it doesn't pass his code. That's like the President saying "Do you know who I am?" to someone who tries to stop him from signing a bill into law.

Rubin was only hit by paper debris and that he allegedly overruled the on-site fire inspector to eliminate the last pinch of fun in an otherwise lifeless ballpark — all because of some errant paper planes.

Rubin was not exactly diplomatic when he argued for the fireworks to be shutdown. According to the source, Rubin at one point told authorities: "Do you know who I am?"

I've got no clue on fire code, so if this is a bigger deal than it seems, correct me, but I'm predisposed to thinking that anyone who runs out that line is a complete d-bag.

well he's obviously a d-bag, but i think it's more because he called off the fireworks for something that had nothing to do with the fireworks. but it is under his jurisdiction to call them off, so saying "do you know who i am?" might actually be a valid thing to bring up in such an argument.

Did he explain who he was first? Because if he didn't, I don't care how relevant to the situation his title was. Who the hell knows what the fire chief looks like?
