I've never felt that strongly about her but I have to admit I generally had a negative impression of her. But there was a very sympathetic article in the New York Times Sunday Magazine about her and her sister just this past weekend, and I have to admit after reading her and the author's accounts of some of the incidents for which she's been criticized I like her even less.

i really rooted for serena and venus until they blew off tennis for 2 years then came back and whined all of the time when they got knocked out of tournaments. also, the whole us open/i'm going to shove this ball down your throat incident...

i'm really interested in ferrer/tipsarevic. tipsarevic has one of the most interesting tennis careers. he made only made 1 quarterfinal(miami, 2008) his whole career in masters or majors up until 2011 when all of the sudden he made 2 and is following it up with 4 this year including 2 semis. he never finished the year above 35 in the world until the end of 2011, as well. i'm not even sure if he ever cracked the top 30 before 2011. all of this happened after he turned 26. not often you get a guy playing the best tennis of his life in his mid to late 20s, but that's the case for janko.
