I’m good with Doc. He likely has the highest floor out of the candidates. Hopefully he gets the best out of our guys and then we don’t have to worry about tactical genius with our talent out there breaking faces.

Looks like Doc becoming available was a bit of providence and saved us from the likely disaster of MDA.

Word is that ownership wanted MDA and not Lue, while Brand wanted Lue and not MDA, and ownership was going to win that battle. Doc becoming available led them to be able to bridge the gap and both agree on him, which is why the process moved so quickly because there were other teams interested in Doc.

I still value MDA's innovative history pretty highly, so a little disappointed on that end but overall pretty great hire, would have jumped on it in a second the day Brett was canned compared to some of the early prospects to land the job. feels fun to get a fresh start. hope he brings in some good assistants, particularly Cassell if that's possible

Brand might find himself getting overrode a bit.

Players want to play for Rivers which is what was Woj was saying. He is himself a good way to attract people to the team.

Woj just tweeted that Alvin Gentry is a "serious possibility" to join Doc Rivers' staff with the Sixers. Would be a great move.

Gentry seems like he would be a great add too, has been putting together great offenses for a long time. Wonder if Doc can bring Woodson over to run the defense.

The whole Process has been about being unconventional and bold. To me this move seems very conventional and dull.
