Muck the Farlins!
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."

At least that's one fewer time they have to get on a plane.

The next 10 games are at home
Then they go to Boston, Buffalo (!), Atlanta
Then from August 24-September 24 everything besides that Miami trip is either at home, NY or DC
Then 3 at Tampa to close the season out

7-8 flights the whole season.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

I’m in for 7 inning games forever
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

I could learn to live with 7 inning games but they require substantial other changes. In particular roster size reduction to limit the number of pitchers.

7 inning games with a DH and Robot umps would be great for the sport.

I'm somewhat surprised that I haven't minded some of these changes. 7 inning doubleheaders, I think, are fine. Not sure I want to see 7-inning games 162x a year. DH in the NL I am now fine with. I don't even really hate the runner on second rule as much as I thought I would. Though, I was bothered the other night watching Astros-Angels when it went back to back fly outs and a run scored on it. That felt a bit dirty.

Eliminate the DH and go with 8 batters. Or a DNH (does not hit) fielder and 7 batters.

Nope, what part don't you like? Baseball needs to do something to get young fans engaged and I think all 3 of them would help that.

DH and Robot umps are coming, I am not sure about 7 inning games but I wouldn't be surprised if they have talked about it. Maybe drop it to 8 innings first.

this ain't baseball, this is like some 80's arcade game. even back then if you tossed in another quarter you got the full 9 innings.

the tradition, the human element, the strategy, the 7th inning stretch...

the quirks, the intricacies, hating umpires, the second guessing has made it special. if i want to see how far someone can hit a baseball, i'll show up early for batting practice.

The closer you make baseball to a video game the more young “fans” will just want to play the actual video game.

Other sports have made changes that work baseball will just need to find what works best.

i think the neater and cleaner you make the game regarding it's "action", the kids will get bored and move on. it's more than just a game. the key is family affordability and taking them to a game and creating memories around the game, a lot of which doesn't happen on the field.
