That's it. I'm going Marlin fishing. None of that catch and release stuff either.

Is this Price, I guess?

Cancel our season and give us the #1 pick next year plus a revenue share for the money we're losing. Cancel the Marlins season and give them no picks in the first 5 rounds and no money.

Montemurro: Klentak said yesterday that Price never tested positive and has been cleared to rejoin the team. He had stayed away as a precaution when he woke up over the weekend not feeling well.

#BlueJays Charlie Montoyo:

“We’re not going to Philadelphia. Those games have been postponed.”

If they can work out in Washington, they’ll stay there.

There's no way they play this weekend. Not only the obvious Covid concerns but the players can't even practice. After the all-star break they still get a day or two of practice. The pitchers especially would be screwed because they can't throw anywhere.

EDIT: WELP

They need to shut this shit down. You can't have a season if you have multiple teams canceling games left and right.

At what point are we going to see Phillies (and other teams affected) players just start opting out now?

It just seems like teams arent messing around anymore. Soto tested positive a week ago and it didn’t delay anything.

There is no doubt here that the Phillies, specifically, and MLB in general have been seriously damaged by the irresponsible actions of the Marlins. There needs to be penalties laid upon the Marlins organization for what they have done and compensation given to the Phillies for the damage that they suffered. If MLB won’t take adequate steps in these directions, the Phillies should get their losses addressed in the courts.
The current leadership of MLB has allowed the integrity of the game to be damaged too often from the Astros scandal, other cheating situations and now this mess. Looking the other way is ruining the sport.

The rest of mlb seems to be doing fine. It's just us and the Marlins. We had problems earlier, too.

Are games really cancelled this weekend? This is bumming me out.

I get the frustration, but it seems like a couple players made a stupid decision. I can't imagine the Phils asking for compensation and evetything else from the Marlins. I agree about the looking the other way thing in general. They didn't punish the Cardinals hardly at all for what they did and the actions of the Cards' employee was a federal crime. The trash can banging thing was the typical cheating thing we've seen in baseball before. It will eventually be part of baseball lore. What the Cards did will forever be seen as slimy and illegal.

Well, it affects the other teams who would be playing the Phillies and Marlins who now can't, so there's a bit of a domino effect even if those teams aren't infected. If even two teams are not able to get their games in, it calls into question the validity of an already questionable season.
