Seems like MLB (and fans like me) may have celebrated that mass test result a little early. Wonder if that even included all the players, since we keep learning of new positives and/or suspected positives.

So, what happens if an entire franchise says, fuck it, it's not safe, we're not doing this?
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."

The more likely outcome is a team travels and playa despite not having their tests back.

Something I noticed during the schedule release: Reds/Indians isn't a natural rivalry this year. They're only playing 2H/2A instead of the expected 3H/3A. The rivalries are Reds/Tigers and Pirates/Indians instead

I don't understand the games played imbalance between leagues. Shirley it wouldn't have been that hard to schedule every team four times vs. each team.
"I would have liked to have had that chance. Just once. To stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down, and just as he goes into his windup, wink."

Probably did this to give the Pirates a “natural rivalry”. It’s good with me. I’m happy that MLB didn’t go for the Phillies-Pirates for a “Battle of Pennsylvania” schtick.

MLB.TV is $60 for the 60 game season. Another missed opportunity for MLB

Shit.

Think umpire Joe West is going to opt out of the 2020 season?

Think again.

“If this game hasn’t gotten me by now, no virus is going to get me,” West said on Monday night. “I’ve weathered a bunch of storms in my life. I’ll weather another one.”

Major League Baseball determined West to be high-risk for COVID-19. The league is offering full pay and service time to high-risk umpires who choose not to work, just as it is for high-risk players. But West, 67, told deputy commissioner Dan Halem on Sunday afternoon that he planned to return for his 42nd season, extending the longest umpiring career in major-league history.

Yeah, that sucks. Hopefully T-Mobile gives their customers (me!) free subscriptions like they've been doing for a while now.
