I have to be honest, I think this whole thing still seems to me like an overreaction that reads as projection - I'll bet every damn team has either done this or attempted it or both, in one form or another, and the Astros pushed it too far and thus were dumb enough to get caught.

Now everyone in MLB is wringing their hands and pontificate about what a moral injustice this is - but all such pronouncements, and the entire enterprise, give you the feeling of one of those moments in the Senate when some senator has been caught in some affair, and the rest of them all use the opportunity to try to score cheap political points with their home constituents by decrying the amoral behavior, etc., etc., etc....

I actually haven't heard too much about the moral violation of this whole thing. I'm hearing mostly what you said, everyone cheats but they took it to another level
