Could have been several games better without bullpen decimation but were never doing anything with this starting pitching. Also outperformed run differential even with all the injuries which is fluky

i think they've lost five games when ahead and down to the final strike. i guess that's a mix between bad luck and bad play but 77-62 would look a lot better and that's a pretty thin margin.

I wonder how many they have won behind down to a final strike? I am guessing less than 5.

i couldn't think of any. the cubs comeback should've been a loss. the dodgers game they blew before coming back and winning in the ninth. think there was one ninth inning rally in atlanta.

Not having Cutch messed up a consistent batting order. If you believe that sort of thing matters.

intangible wise too. in the short time we got to watch him day to day, he's definitely in the top five in the past 25 years for the phillies. If you believe that sort of thing matters.

I actually do think it matters to a degree but I know some don't.

but if cutch wasn't hurt jetpax productions could've slotted in at the black hole we have at 3rd base

Also without even looking I bet Cutch still has more walks than them combined

Yes, and the leadoff spot has been atrocious without Cutch.

Objection! Calls for speculation.

The leadoff spot didn't have to suffer as it did. We have an experienced leadoff hitter on the roster but he received limited opportunity.
