Seems like the front office has done a decent job yesterday and today. I probably would have taken Boldy at 11. But I feel like I prefer York, Brink and Attard to just Boldy, Attard and another 3rd.

That’s a fine way of thinking of it. I wouldn’t have hated getting Caulfield or Krebs at 14.

Now that the cap has been set, the big work comes on line. There are moves that Fletcher can make and teams that need to make moves for things that the Flyers can deal. Last night Burke said that the Flyers were going to make some big noise. I don't think that he meant trading back from 11 to 14 or moving up in round two. Ghost has been named to be in play far too much for him not to be on the block. Depending on what the return is, Jake and JVR might be as well. Lets just see what happens.

I gotta be honest, I'm pretty pissed we missed out on Subban. Maybe it's irrational, but his cap hit is $9 million for just three more years. Niskanen and Braun are going to make $9.55 million against the cap, both are two years older than Subban, and Braun doesn't even have a guarantee after this year and they used a second round pick to get him. Just seems like a massive miss from Fletcher to not be in on Subban, and to let him get to a divisional opponent.

Could have gone:

Subban-Provy
Ghost-Hagg
Sanheim-Morin
Myers

I guess maybe you would have sent Hagg to Nashville in the deal, but we've been told Myers is ready, and you would have had some space to sign a cheap vet 7th d-man.

Just seems like a massive blow to watch Subban get to the Devils.

He's also on his third team and is reportedly a pain in the ass, and maybe they didn't wanna deal with that

For those asking, the #Flyers have $21.4M left in cap space. They have $60.1M spent but it's only on 16 players. And RFAs Provy, Sanheim, and TK will be relatively expensive....especially Provy.

Doesn't he have a back problem too? There's a reason it didn't take a massive haul to get him.

Not losing sleep on Subban... he has some big flaws to commit to

Supposedly devils were the only team willing to take on his contract. Think the preds wanted to reallocate that money to duchene.

Flyers are signing Travis Sanheim to a 2-year $6.5 million extension. AAV of $3.25 million.

Flyers acquire C Tyler Pitlick from Dallas in exchange for F Ryan Hartman.
