I mean, I "got" the hate. It was unjustified, but I got it. Fans felt like a scored lover for leaving them. Same way Nationals fans feel about Harper now.
If your wife chooses to leave you for someone with a better job and more money, you aren't just gonna go "I totally understand, he offers more, it makes total sense."
But it was still unjustified and shouldn't have been that vicious.
