On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Yup and Stolie would most likely be gone anyway. He has 4 wins in 10 appearances this season I think Talbot can match that production plus play role of mentor.

You do realize your posts on this board are equivalent to Trumps morning tweets during executive time, right?

What you just wrote is exactly something he would say about Pelosi.

Still waiting for your post giving Giroux some credit since you put the blame on him early in the year.

Will this hurt them from adding salary before the deadline if they decide they have a chance for the playoffs?

I would hope they’re sellers no matter what. Seems like they haven’t talked about extending Simmonds thankfully, so I’d expect him to head out.

At least Talbot has been healthy over the past few seasons. That's more than can be said of Elliott, Neuvirth and Stolarz. Lyon as well has been nicked up. The team needs a healthy situation in goal.
With the rapid emergence of Hart and what is in the pipeline of goalies for the Flyers, Stolarz and the rest of the bunch that is currently in LV, don't have a future in the organization beyond being a Phantom.

Seems silly to do this especially if Hart continues to play well and they continue to rack up points

Eh, they’re 8 points back with 25 to go and Pittsburgh and Columbus are better teams I think.

So, in baseball terms, they are essentially four games back on September 1. I certainly wouldn't want the Phils to be in "sell mode" if that was the case.

They’d have to be 4 games better than 3 other teams. In baseball you don’t get a half game in the standings for an extra inning loss which is tough to overcome when you’re chasing. Don’t think it’s realistic to make the playoffs so I hope they don’t bypass a future piece or two for 20 more games of simmonds.

Selling pieces off in a playoff hunt with a young goalie that’s rolling would be pretty fucking stupid, so expect a fire sale from the flyers

They have five games before deadline so I think they will know if they are buyers or sellers by then. Lightning Penguins Canadiens all coming up.

I'd say six points minimum needed but probably 7 while beating Penguins.

It's a dilemma cause they should get a decent return for Simmonds but if they get the last spot, it isn't like they are right out... with Hart and the way they have regrouped, they can play a while with some good breaks ... that said they probably could make a run even without Simmonds... they need to take care of business with Detroit
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response
