The Reds have claimed Freddy Galvis off waivers from the Blue Jays. I had no idea he had even been placed on waivers.

Freddy was having the best season of his career. Not that that's saying a whole lot, but he was hitting some dingers, so it was a little surprising until I realized Bo Bichette is looking like the next Trout.

I have no reason to doubt momadance's opinion, especially since of the nearly 3000 major league games he played I maybe saw 2, none of them in person. He absolutely had a tremendous, hall of fame career, but I'll admit I'm ambivalent since I mostly knew him for fizzling out in Seattle,the upside down career path, the weird head touching thing and signing a one year contract with Boston when reports had us pursuing him in 2010. That would have been nice.
