In 2015, Vlad Jr signed with the Blue Jays for 3.9 million. The Phillies signed Jhailyn Ortiz for over 4 million the same year. In 2019, Vlad is breaking home run derby records while Ortiz is batting .214 in High A Clearwater

Pretty sure Jon has zero clue how the international market works. Also:
-- Vlad Jr was #1 BA, #4 MLB, #4 FG that year, not #1 across the board
-- MLB #1 Eddy Martinez got $3M and is hitting .208 with 1 HR in AA
-- MLB #2 Yadier Alvarez got $16M and is 0-2 with an ERA of almost 15.00 in AA
-- MLB #3 Lucius Fox got $6M and was traded to the Rays a year later, is hitting .219 in AA

That's an intriguing idea, but small market teams will hate it (even if combined with a draft budget that varies according to winning percentage or something). Zero chance.
