Archer is one of the most overrated pitchers in the game. He seems like a great guy with an effervescent personality but that doesn’t throw strikes. All sorts of people rave about his stuff and potential. However when it comes to living up to it, he falls on his face. When he was with the Rays, his losses were shoved aside with the excuse that he was just on a poor club. Unfortunately now he doesn’t have that excuse but the results are the same.

“If you would’ve asked me on the first day of free agency, I would have said no way I’d be here on May 6. This was not the plan at all. I would love to be out there playing ball and helping a team win. Because, to my career at this point, I’ve done more winning than I have losing and at a much higher clip. Went to Wrigley last night. Looking to go to Guaranteed Rate Field on Tuesday. I'd call "Guaranteed Rate Field" Comiskey, only arguably the only thing worse than naming a ballpark after some dumb corporation is naming it after one Charles A. Comiskey.
