Did Serena not play against a woman in her match? It seems like she is trying to make this into a gender issue when it has been proven that this umpire has done similar things to men. In fact the USTA came out and re-affirmed the decision by Ramos and he will not be disciplined in any way.
Serena had a run in with a female line judge in a previous US Open where she threatened to " "I swear to God I'll fucking take the ball and shove it down your fucking throat."'

I agree, i'm not excusing her behavior. She deserved what she got. My point was just a way, going forward, to eliminate any suspicions of impropriety.
