Not easily tracked is your second new argument after your original argument was predicated on this being easily tracked.

You also did not respond to your preposterously implies new argument that this wasn’t premeditated.

Keep it up.

1990.

Again I gave a 2009 example. There are penalties given in many tournaments. Yes the stage was big here but this type of thing also doesn't happen very often.

Do your own research you are basically arguing like our President does. I'm surprised we haven't heard fake news posted by you as a response.

How many matches are played and you named 2 examples. What are the percentages? 2 divides by like 1000 matches?

This kind of stuff is not easily tracked but continue with your hot take prove me wrong style Mr president. Id say I saw at least five warnings in this tournament alone just watching outside of Serena. Maybe closer to 10.

Nadal is one of the best players ever and he is often warned for time violations. He rarely goes off on the umpire.

There are few people ever who fight with the officials like Serena does and one was McEnroe. Others handle it with better class. You don't think Federer or Nadal feel like something was going against them or someone like Sharapova? They probably handle it behind closed doors.

“With better class”

Explain how McEnroe did it with better class. It was one of your examples.

How does a male do it with “better class?”

“Better class.”

Handling it behind closed doors with the proper officials as others have said.

I'm not saying McEnroe handled stuff better I'm saying guys like Nadal and Federer do. I cited McEnroe because he fought with officials like she does, not as an example of someone who handled it better. He was probably the worst ever. She is probably the worst female player when it comes to this, or at least worst I've seen.

Your suggestion that male players do it with better class is all you needed to say.

Why is this heating up but yesterday was over?

Joker slams ball after mini break. No sportsmanship call.

They play five sets in men's tennis. Also heating up means it's getting more competitive not he's going to win.

I'm going to need stats on how many times Serena did this in her career and got called for it please. If you can't produce them you are wrong.

smashing the racket is an auto call. nothing to dispute there. as the announcers said yesterday, i think she was ignorant in not knowing the coaching thing was a code of conduct violation and therefore her first offense.

If you think smashing the ball and racket are the same thing you are wrong. It's an auto penalty for everyone whether they are male or female.

We get it you think the umpire mistreated her and cost her the match. Doesn't make us sexist if we think she handled it wrong.

I think they both handled it poorly and she deserved everything up until the game penalty.

Yup, umpire is a hard ass apparently and she didn't handle it well but I don't think sexism/racism came into play at all.

i thought two things she said in her press conference were telling.

first, she said he was a good umpire and she never had an issue with him before in her career. to me, that eliminates any kind of "targeting" towards her.

second, she said at one point they came to an understanding about the coaching violation. she told him that she could see why he might think she was receiving coaching and he said he realized she likely wasn't, but saw it and had to call it.

from that, it seems the issue should have be done. she basically lost it when she got called for smashing her racket. that's an automatic code of conduct violation. best guess is she didn't realize she already had a code of conduct violation and was miffed as to why she was docked a point to start the next game. i think the game penalty was too much.

for someone who has 20 some majors i thought it was extremely poor form to act like that and take the attention off osaka, who was seeking her first major and spoke multiple times throughout the tournament of idolizing serena and dreamed of playing her at the us open since she was a kid. as the most visible ambassador of the game, i think she failed the sport miserably on saturday.

Yup I rewatched the highlights. She was up 3-1 and at the break they came to the understanding and it seemed fine. She then gets broken, smashes her racket, and that is what set it off like Reading said. So things were going good, then she got broken and turned into a baby again.
