How often do players argue with an official for 7 plus minutes over the course of that long of the match?

There are plenty of examples of players getting penalized. Do your own research if you think they are unfairly targeting her instead of your lazy prove me wrong posts.

Also McEnroe was disqualified from 1990 Aussie for arguing with umpire.

And who could forget Serena in 2009

And then, as CBS broadcaster John McEnroe said, "All hell broke loose" at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The resulting double fault gave Clijsters match point. But Serena angrily confronted the lineswoman who made the call, dropping the f-word liberally and, getting in her face and waving her racket and later the ball menacingly, saying, "I swear to God I'm [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down your [expletive] throat, you hear that? I swear to God."

It was the most angry anyone could remember seeing her on a tennis court.

After chair umpire Louise Engzell discussed Serena's reaction with the lineswoman, she called Serena for a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct -- her second after a sanction for racket abuse at the end of the first set. That meant Clijsters, by rule, was awarded a point -- the last point of the match, as it turned out.

Incredibly shitty to steal osaka’s moment and even shittier by the fans right now.

Really. Coaching thing meant nothing until she threw a fit and broke her racket. She's been playing in tournaments for , what, 25 years? I would think she's figured out how to control her emotions. Makes me believe she didn't have it and wanted to find a reason to lose.

You made one example from 30 years ago and are calling me lazy? All kinds of laughable hypocrisy there.

I have seen players curse out officials and not have this happen.

Laughable result. Official didn’t like being called a thief by a woman. He had no problem suggesting she was a cheater.

But hey. I’m with you. Serena hasn’t had to deal with feminism and blatant racism at all during her career on the tour. Cannot imagine why she has built up frustrations with officials and admins. She’s been fairly treated all along.

Yes. Up 3-1. Didn’t have it.

She was down a set at that point and barely winning the games she managed to win. Osaka was out playing her and even the people defending her said she would have lost no matter what happened.

Up a break and a favorite in live betting. Critical sequence in the match. But was out of it.

Again I gave a 2009 example. There are penalties given in many tournaments. Yes the stage was big here but this type of thing also doesn't happen very often.

Do your own research you are basically arguing like our President does. I'm surprised we haven't heard fake news posted by you as a response.

She immediately got broken back, who cares about betting line Joe public is going to pound Serena because they don't know the other person.

Serena played poorly before this happened.

And I'm not saying she doesn't deal with racism and sexism on the tour but to think this official specifically targeted her to try to torpedo her chances isn't something I'm buying.

It was poorly handled by all but Serena didn't help with her reactions. US open released a statement basically saying all calls were justified.

She's an extremely competitive player. I don't think for a minute she would try to find an excuse for losing or torpedo her chances.

How many matches are played and you named 2 examples. What are the percentages? 2 divides by like 1000 matches?

You’ve now introduced targeting which suggests premeditation. That’s not what I’m arguing. I’m arguing a double standard.

Get your argument straight.

This kind of stuff is not easily tracked but continue with your hot take prove me wrong style Mr president. Id say I saw at least five warnings in this tournament alone just watching outside of Serena. Maybe closer to 10.

Nadal is one of the best players ever and he is often warned for time violations. He rarely goes off on the umpire.

There are few people ever who fight with the officials like Serena does and one was McEnroe. Others handle it with better class. You don't think Federer or Nadal feel like something was going against them or someone like Sharapova? They probably handle it behind closed doors.
