Where did you see that? I'm not shocked. They still like Stobbe.

Good college players sometimes spend only a couple of weeks in WMPT before they get bumped up. Hopefully he finishes the summer in CLW after spending a few more weeks in Lakewood.

Bohm and the Phillies have a deal at $6m flat. Which is like 947k under slot.

Way more under slot than I thought. Fantastic imo and explains how they are getting Pipkin and Simmons signed.

gelb mentioned it. had a quote from klentak about following the same path as haseley, 30ish games before a promotion.

Scared him into thinking they were picking Madrigal and he'd fall to #7 or #9.

I had a lifelong dream come true when I was drafted by the Phillies and am so thankful for that opportunity! However, I am going to continue my career as a student athlete at FSU and wear Seminole on my chest! Go Noles!

#11 Perkins against North Carolina today: 2.1 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 2 K. Unless there's a comeback, Stetson will be done and he'll be free to sign

Arrived in Philly and the first thing someone asked me was if I lived on a beach. I'll take it.

Seems 2 me like the 9th rounder is the big overslot pick. Especially given that they took a college guy 11 (implying they didn't want to spare any of that 1-10 $). Get um

Also fairly surprising they got the prep catcher committed to ECU. Any $ reported there

#23 O'Hoppe

Catcher Logan O’Hoppe of St. John the Baptist was also in attendance following his 23rd-round selection by the Phillies. O’Hoppe confirmed his decision to sign with Philadelphia and said the two sides would meet to discuss contract terms during the weekend.

#32 Aklinski (the GRIT kid)

UK center fielder Ben Aklinski will sign with the Philadelphia Phillies this weekend, he told Catspause.com. Aklinski was selected in the 32nd round by the Phillies on Wednesday.

The junior from Phoenix, Arizona, was fourth on the team in average this year with a .304 mark. He hit six home runs and drove in 42 RBIs while slugging .444. Aklinski spent one season in Lexington after having an All-American sophomore season at the junior college level.

Aklinski was First-Team All-ACCAC in 2017 at Phoenix College. He was honored as the NJCAA Division II Defensive Player of the Year and won the Rawlings JUCO Gold Glove award.
