I may be wrong but I think they go through round 2 on the first night. Not that the Phillies are affected as we have no 2nd or 3rd round pick. Long gap between 3 and 107

Singer has had consistently great numbers pitching in th best conference for 3 years. His arm slot is unconventional and there are questions about whether he has ace stuff. But he’s been consistently great so the floor is high. Kind of a Nola comp

Mize, Bohm, Bart for me, in that order. I'm not as wild on spending such a high pick on a catcher. Possibly irrational, but that's where I am.

Also, just looking at the list of names on the draft threads, it's pretty crazy how bad the Phillies have been with high draft picks.

I'm totally fine with Mize or Singer, but we really need impact bats (duh). If we go with one of them at 1 then go for broke with the rest of our top 10 picks on college bats.

It's Kris Bryant, so not focusing g on the bat part of this bc that would be silly, but the defensive assessment sounds a lot like Bohm now.

Mize, Bohm or Singer. Buy Harper or Manny in the off season to put punch in the line up.

I like conine's kid the OF from duke. He's actually been horrible production wise in the games I watched but his bat speed is on a different level than everyone else in every game. Had sort of mediocre college production after a lot of hype but I see the talent and see that he's ranked in 50ish overall range

Still a skeptic that Mize won't go one but multiple sources saying it is more likely now than it was any time up to now that top 3 could go 1. Bart. 2. Winn. 3. Mize. Again still only a small chance but that chance has risen.

Assuming UF wins 1 of 2 tomorrow against FAU, probably going to see Mize vs. Singer in Super Regionals gm 1 right?

Lots of posturing going on but if the Phillies have floated a number to Mize that Detroit doesn't want to spend because they want to spread around. It could happen. But the Phillies draft could then end up as Mize and a bunch of college seniors. Mize is my first choice, then Bohm, then Bart

HISTORY WITH PICK NO. 3
Here’s some notable players selected third overall in the MLB draft.

Paul Molitor (1977)
Mike Liberthal (Phillies, 1990)
Evan Longoria (2006)
Eric Hosmer (2008)
Manny Machado (2010)
Trevor Bauer (2011)
Not everything I think is something I should say.
