FWIW, I know Flip is held in higher regard in the building than Reich, and I presume he'd get promoted

Still annoyed I never gained any traction with Frank Third (and 10) Reich

Yeah I don't think they would lose them both. If Reich is gone you promote within. In the long run it might actually be better keeping Defilippo from going to a conference rival.

That's good to hear. I guess it works out then if we get to keep Flip.

Also, I'm not trying to talk down Reich at all. I think he'd be a very good hire for the Colts given their shitty circumstances.

Jason La Canfora
From what I hear Flip most inclined to stay in Philly. Vikes/Colts both like Darrell Bevell as OC option, too. Does 1 of them get neither?

Ha! This is the guy from the Real World Chicago and Days of our Lives. It's sad that I know that by the way.

Expect Flip to be gone now.

Why? He could get the OC spot here if Reich leaves

Adam Schefter‏ @AdamSchefter
Vikings officially requested permission to interview Eagles’ QB coach John DeFilippo about their OC job, per source.

Eagles OC Frank Reich interviews for Colts HC on Friday.

Super Bowl brain drain could be underway in Philadelphia.

Not really stressed about losing coaches/mgmt. would be most bummed to lose Joe D or fippppp (and you figure they find more expanded roles elsewhere eventually). If Schwartz goes, only complication is that they need to find a turnkey replacement who can handle that side of the ball in entirety, but that's doable

Not concerned about finding talent to replace OC or QB coach to work with wentz under dug on a lurie owned team

Schefter isn't reporting anything we all didn't know. They can't interview Defilippo until 2/14 I read and Reich was already reported as a top candidate for Colts.

Despised the Bears for YEARS afterwards, but the 2001 playoff win in the last game at old Soldier Field helped to heal that wound. And anyway, if that Eagles team had beaten the Bears, was there any chance they were beating the 49ers and Joe Montana the next week? I don’t think so.

I was 7 years old so I didn't understand the NFL landscape at the time. All I knew was that IT WASN'T FAIR. I definitely cried. It was my first sports heartbreak.

Oh so did I. I was 10. I just mean, looking back, that team was young and promising but when you consider who they had to get through to get to the SB, they weren’t getting there no matter what happened with the fog Bowl.

What if the Vikings tell him he can call the plays/have total offensive control and have input on who the QB is
