Let me tell you a couple things about Johnny boy. As I've mentioned before - back in the 93-94 time frame, before the world-wide-web was a graphical place and people were still typing in green on a black screen - and most of the sports on the internet was on Usenet groups - some Phila. Eagle fans put together a private message board. (J Megee joined up a couple years in) For several years going from Kotite to Ray Rhodes - it was very active and a great source of info and discussion especially for those of us, nowhere near Phila. radio and newspapers. As active as BSG at its peak with over 550 members. At one point Kincade joined the group. Dude knew almost NADA about sports, or Phila sports. Dude was on my jock and pinching my rap for a long time. Used to private message me to get skooled - blah blah.

It's a lesson too, that determination and a varied skill set will allow you to make a career in something - that you aren't really that knowledgable about. Howard Eskin still knows very little - and he knew nothing when he started back in the 70's. I used to just turn my head back n forth in disbelief that a buffoon like that got a job related to sports in phila. Jim Rome would be a non -philly guy who made an entire career with his persona and no real knowledge.

Obviously 20 years later John Kincade is not the same guy he was back then - but I always find it interesting and slightly humorous that people think he's interesting.

It's always bothered me that people like Cataldi and Eskin became associated with "phila sports media" when they are buffoons and clowns. I much prefer people who actually know something. I don't want the entertainment factor. Eskin and Cataldi are more like WWE caricatures than real sports media.

I want to like Nick Foles - but every time that guy is at the podium in a presser - he seems so un-rugged and not particularly bright.

Feels like Ryan and Jones are the only returning people from last year's game. Hold them to FGs again and win.

Think I read somewhere that the eagles lease with Philadelphia does not allow for the moving of any home games away from the linc.
