Go Flyers tonight... let's get to 7.. with Det and Buffalo coming up, I really want to go for 10 straight wins right after 10 straight losses

Lucky it isn't 4-1 Kings.

Apparently a win tonight would tie an nhl record for most consecutive wins after most consecutive losses

The Flyers have a chance to tie one of the more bizarre records in NHL history Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center: most consecutive victories immediately after a winless streak of at least 10 games.

A win over the Los Angeles Kings would give them seven straight victories after a 10-game losing streak.

That would equal the greatest in-season turnaround in league history. Toronto followed an 11-game winless streak (one tie) with a seven-game winning streak in 1967 and won the Stanley Cup a few months later.

Stanley Cup victory confirmed, schedule the parade boys!

7 home games against the Pacific, lost 6 of them. Vegas in March is the last one

Flyers up 4-3 with just under 2 to go and Jake rides a guy into the corner and muscles him off. Refs call him for a phantom elbow but then call diving on the Detroit player. What the hell. I’m almost positive that every time I’ve seen a dive called it’s been offsetting. Why is it called like that? In this case no penalty was warranted, it wasn’t an elbow or a dive. By calling it though, it gives an advantage to the trailing team as they can play 5 on 4 with no goalie, but the flyers can’t ice the puck.

That was a horrendous call both ways. Jake was just much stronger than Athanasiou (who also pussied out going into the same corner with Gudas lurking earlier in the period). Meanwhile, Raffl was cross-checked in the head multiple times while on the ice and crickets.

They just don’t compete for the puck. Too much trying for the pretty pass to make a post game highlight play. It’s a poor brand of hockey. Fillpula, Weise and Weal don’t belong in the NHL and frankly neither does Patrick right now.
