List wouldn't look much different for most teams.

Pavin Smith, a UVA 1B/OF is being mocked to us frequently, as is JB Buskauskas, a UNC RHP. I'd be happy with either pick, but I lean toward position players b/c of less injury risk.

I'll definitely be mad if all heck breaks out with below slot deals and we still take Pavin Smith as a 1B (they can announce him as an OF).

I don't know. This seems like the standards leaked rumors to force negotiations with the guy you are really going to take stuff. I guess we'll see.

Absolutely, but the Ian Anderson smoke from the Braves last year turned out to be real. There's also some sentiment (mainly Keith Law), that the draft talent drops significantly in the 20's. Could be a few teams trying to get 2 guys in that top 20 range with the below slot deals.

A graduate of The First Academy in Florida, the lone non-California team to win USA Baseball's National High School Invitational, Haseley has developed into one of the better two-way players in the college ranks at Virginia, one who should compete for the John Olerud Award. His future in the professional ranks, however, lies solely in his skills as a position player.
Haseley's bat has taken a nice leap forward this season and he's hit over, or close to, .400 for much of his junior year. He uses the entire field and while he features more of an inside-out swing from the left side currently, an approach preached at Virginia because of the ballpark at home, there should be more pull side power to come. As it is, he's showing more over-the-fence ability. While not a burner, Haseley does have above-average speed. He is capable of playing center field, but whether that's his long-term home remains to be seen. He is capable of playing all three outfield spots, with at least an average arm.
There could be some upside here, with more to be unlocked once he stops pitching and focuses 100 percent on hitting. His stock was soaring as much as any college position player as the spring unfolded.

Adam Haseley is really good. A little bit like Moniak—pure hit tool, good in CF.

It's the first time the Phils have used top pick on college bat since 2000 (Chase Utley).

Adam Haseley went from a fringe first rounder to Top ten pick this year, making harder contact and showing great instincts in centerfield. He led the strong UVA lineup in walks and homers this spring.
