Yep, thanx Ace, serves me right for (mis)taking Bob Costas's word for it
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

montero was complaining that he'll get the blame but arrieta was slow to the plate and he didn't have a chance.

Bartolo should go back to the Mets
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response

Heart-tugging NYTimes story about Jim Bouton's current condition

I probably would have given up on boring, slow, whitebread baseball early in my youth if Jim Bouton had not been born and pitched really well for the Yankees for a few years and then gotten hurt & learned how to throw a sort-of major league knuckleball and then played for the Seattle Pilots and kinda sucked but wrote a book that was sort of about that but was about more than that of course, but anyway. He's also pretty great in The Long Goodbye with Eliott Gould.

Hang in there, man

Huh. I always threw my knucker with three fingers like that. Thought that was the common way. Maybe I saw that Carson episode and it stuck with me.

Nicely put. I don't know that the Dr. could have said it better himself.
