I took a recommended supplement to combat inflammation. Unfortunately this supplement contained an ingredient that was on the NFL’s banned substance list.

Doesn't he need shoulder surgery too? I thought I read he had to get hip surgery, then rehab, then get shoulder surgery after.

Good point. Elisha gets another W though so not all bad. And celebrates the win with his typical Monday tradition of lunch w mom and asking for crayons to fill in the "drawable" paper menu at Dennys with a moon overy my hammy

On November 12, 2016, at approximately 2:30 AM, Pead was involved in a serious car accident, in which he was not wearing a seatbelt.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 2:32am, Saturday, Pead was driving his 2011 Cadillac CTS eastbound on I-670 near E. 5th Avenue, when he lost control of the vehicle, and drove off the right side of the roadway. The Cadillac struck the metal guardrail and continued through it. After going through the guardrail the Cadillac became airborne and struck several trees on the way down the embankment. It came to rest about 95 feet from the roadway. During the crash, Pead was ejected from the vehicle.

Police said two witnesses stopped and called 911 and provided assistance to Pead and a passenger in the Cadillac, Wesley Richardson, 27, until police arrived at the crash scene.

Pead was taken to Grant Medical Center. As of around 4:25pm Saturday, he was still in the ICU after having emergency surgery. He is listed to be in critical condition. Pead's injuries were most likely career-ending.[11] Pead's college coach, Tommy Tuberville, said Pead lost part of his left leg in the accident.[12]

Cowboys LB Rolando McClain, who was just about to finish his current 10 game suspension, has been suspended for another year after missing a drug test.

Random question since this is Random NFL Thoughts and apologies if it was discussed elsewhere;

I understand about 95 percent of NFL rules that make perfect sense like holding and PI and offsides and false starts and all that good stuff.

I'm curious about the reasoning behind things like Illegal Procedures and Illegal Shifts. I'm not saying the league needs to allow full on Arena League running start WRs and whatnot, but the whole thing of being off the line of scrimmage or not covering a Tight End and all that stuff - does anyone really gain that much of an advantage from these type of things? I guess I can see it causing some defensive confusion and they're kind of already a bit behind the 8-ball with all the current rules in place, but in a league that's plagued with too much yellow already...

I mean, did Nelson being lined up there really affect the play at all in any way, shape, or form?
Not everything I think is something I should say.

Not really, but it's been in the rules for decades that linemen aren't eligible receivers, the farthest left and farthest right players on the LOS are considered receivers, and an OL must make himself an eligible receiver to the ref if he's going to be on the end of a line (even for a running play), and the WRs and TEs need to make sure they're lined up correctly on each play. It's just football fundamentals.
