The Rory alert was lifted after that. Pretty disappointing 64.

Day not playing great but no one even giving him a run.

Speith looking like he needs a few weeks off to fix things. Not at all the player he was last year right now.

I didn't catch anything this weekend but just looks like he couldn't putt yesterday which is kind of rare for him. 36 total feet made of putts Sunday vs like 105 on Saturday. I submit that if not for one chunk on 12 at Augusta (the second one) he'd likely have won the Masters and no one would be talking about him, really. He missed the cut at the Players last year fwiw. Hell, Willett missed the cut at the Players and was 1 back of Rory Saturday at the Irish Open and also collapsed.

His ball striking isn't nearly good enough right now to rely on his putter each round. Oakmont will eat his lunch if he is playing there with a two-way miss.

14th in strokes gained tee to green. He was 4th last year so a bit worse there but nothing awful for him. 65th in driving accuracy (80th last year). Biggest issue I can find is proximity to hole which is over 100 from 25th last year. Looks like his irons are a bit off but it's not hurting him that much in strokes gained ttg. Unfortunately looks like sg putting is busted on pgatour.com right now for 2016. http://www.pgatour.com/stats/stat.02564.2016.html

I don't love sg ttg as much as I do putting but it's a decent catchall metric for your long game.

True, although his GIR ranking has taken a huge dive since last year. He finished 2015 49th at 67.8% (still average) to 118th this year at 64.5%. That is pretty huge drop for a guy that has improved his driving accuracy. Just from observation he's had more big misses off the tee this year.

Make it two shots despite pulling his tee shot off a marshall then bombing his approach off the stands
