Confession: I don't really hate the Cowboys. Buddy owned them, Rhodes and Kotite had huge memorable wins over them, and Reid owned them. I hated them at the Smith and Aikman peak of course, but those were down years for us anyway

The amount of hate my 11-year-old self had for Jimmy Johnson, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin is enough to last me the rest of my life. But I will say, the Cowboys now are approaching a point, kinda like the Mets, where my hate is offset a bit by... I don't know ... sympathy? Amusement? Maybe I'm just older and hate less.

Them winning the division and knocking the Eagles out of the playoffs a few years ago should be enough for you to hate them.

I know what you mean... I'd hate them more for that if I had felt like the Eagles were a good team going into it, or had had any shot of beating the Boys that day. But that team always felt like a fraud tbh.
