If you have tickets to the Phils game, fantastic. I look at it as a perfect double-header of Philadelphia sports on Saturday, as I'm sure a lot of other people are going to look at it.

Well, I don't really feel any wrongdoings by just sharing an opinion. If Brantt wants to respond with "die in a fire" that's up to him.

I can understand where the anger is coming from. I definitely see the other side. Brantt wants to go to the Phillies game, and probably not have the Flyers score ruined for him by people around him. That happened to me a couple of years ago in the 2008 Washington series where I went to a Saturday afternoon Phils game, and was only able to see the first period of the Flyers because it coincided with the game. In his position, I can see why it sucks because I experienced it. But I'm at home, and I was just sharing an opinion that I'm going to enjoy the games. I didn't see the need for the "die in a fire" comment, but again, I can understand the anger.

And I know it's not only for the reason I talked about above. There's a multitude of reasons why a 12:30 game might not work for people. I get it.

going to be tough, but gotta think the team thinks they've got a better shot against boston than washington, regardless of the caps playing a 7-game series.

git sum

can't wait for the 12:30pm start time.

i think you mean edt

id be pumped about this matchup if the forwards weren't dropping like deuces. they're like a crappy version of the devils, but with a real goalie.

I love playoff hockey and I root for the Flyers but I've never seen a team or organization consistently have the key injuries the Flyers seem to always have in the playoffs.

Boston in 6 at most. Flyers will definitely be flat in Game 1, they will not be able to overcome the losses of Carter, Gagne, and Lappy (especially since they like to play most of the game down a man), and Boucher will not be SuperBoucher this series.

From this week's Sports Illustrated poll:

WHO IS THE BEST SHUTDOWN DEFENSEMAN?

Nicklas Lidstrom, Red Wings 25%

Zdeno Chara, Bruins 23%

Shea Weber, Predators 10%

Chris Pronger, Flyers 9%

Scott Niedermayer, Ducks 7%

Of course Pronger always does well in SI polls, having tied for the dirtiest player title last year.

I'm taking Boston in 7. I actually think the Flyers will play well in Game 1 and the series hinges on what sort of impact Gagne could have if he plays at all.

I said Devils in 5 and was wrong, so I'll hope for the same result and pick Boston in 5.
