For any chance versus Washington, they had to win today. They'll get like a week off. Pronger, Timonen, Richards definitely need that extra rest especially.

The Flyers team defense was pretty remarkable this entire series. Even without Carter/Gagne tonight, they still did a great job.

Unless the puck hit his eye, which I didn't think it did, Lappy will play in Game 1. He's a gamer. Just wear a shield.

Here's hoping Ottawa and Montreal win an extra game.

I'll help if Boucher stands on his head the entire series like he did for this one, too.

Boucher played very well, but in the last 3 games, there really weren't a whole lot of quality chances for the Devils during Even Strength play. That team defense is encouraging heading into the Washington series.

this season is definitely a success

to get this far after everything that happened....kinda proud of these guys

hopefully giroux can grow and become more consistent going forward as he was the BEST player on the ice this series...and that's saying a lot
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Yeah I suppose so. It's a success because of the injuries, coaching change, inconsistencies. Somehow they are in Round 2. They'll probably lose, but it was fun to crush the Devils.

well, best case scenario is flyers winning the Stanley Cup.

but outside of that, its probably eliminating the Devils in the first round, right? especially in dominant fashion like they did.

If it all ends in another Pittsburgh series loss, I won't be very happy. At least this time I won't be in State College for it.

Holy shit that was way too close for comfort; hope he recovers quickly. What a great series; absolutely dominated them in just about every facet of the game. Everybody on the roster contributed in some way and that is really what you need to play winning playoff hockey. As an aside, how freakin good did Ville Leino look last night especially considering he was thrown into the fire?

I thought the same time. I hope we win tomorrow night 4-0 with Kovalchuk on ice for all 4 goals.

Impressive slugs

Thank you. I would wish to claim some sort of ESP that got me so close, but it was just an undying hatred for players like Kovalchuk which was fueled greater in this series when after a game he was already getting girl mad and trying to fight everyone and then creamed his pants when he got that empty netter. My biggest regret in this series was his PP goal, but hey, now he can go home and realize what a tool he was for his quote.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.
