I was watching Fox morning show a few minutes ago, and saw the footage. There were fans there, but they couldn't see who was getting off the plane, because it was about 100 yards away from where they gathered (according to Fox, I didn't see a crowd shot). Saw Burrell, Utley, and Hamels with their wives. Howard and Victorino were stag.

Unless, they were joking, WIP just said fans were waiting at the Park for them

They seemed serious, because they were talking about fans not have binoculars, therefore not being able to see who was who. But I wouldn't put it past them to fabricate.

"I don't know if I understand what's really taken place here," said Jamie Moyer, the only member of this team who actually attended the parade of the one World Series championship in Phillies history. "I don't know if it's really sunk in. I know we're going to the World Series, but it hasn't sunk in."

Really cool and love how a 45 year old doesn't know how to react.

Anybody know if I can find the post-game FOX footage -- the realKen interviews and the trophy presentation and all that -- online somewhere?

For some reason that eluded me, McGillin's turned the sound off on the last pitch and had what appeared to be a homeless gentleman sing "Jeremy" on karaoke.

jayson stark this morning on mike and mike had a good quote about the phillies. how the players truly love manuel. after the myers and manuel blow up he said that any other team in the league would not be able to recover and the rift would be there for the entire season. but said he saw myers hugging charlie and saying i love you to him.

Well, Myers has no reason to be upset with Charlie now--because he started actually pitching pretty damn well after the blowup. Charlie may not be the best xs and os guy in baseball, but he really has a solid grasp of his player mentality. There may not be another manager in the world who could have turned Myers around like that.

I woke up way late at 8:30 but fell back asleep, then I had a dream with BigEd - well, it looked a lot like Chase Utley but I knew it was BigEd - telling me, "Don't worry, sleep another 20 minutes, as long as you're walking to the bus stop by 9:10, you'll get there by 9:30 and everyone will understand."

Thanks, BigEd!

Thanks a lot for that.

New Cole Hamels fact:

Cole Hamels stands out in a crowd. Because he's tall.
