Me too, on all accounts really. I think it was the fact that it was more or less over by the top of the second helped.

It sorta feels like last weekend where Blanton saved the day, but the thought of facing Lowe again (possibly twice) and Kuroda again makes Homer....something..something...

Haha, Mitch just said that the Fox announcers want a Dodgers/Sox series. Now Ricky Bo just said Martin was a "big baby" for getting hit with a 79 MPH pitch. Good comedy.

I believe the combined age of the guys holding Manny back was somewhere north of 350.

Just an update from Chavez Ravine; Victorino not the only one getting thrown at. My brother, and BSGer "SteveJeltzPhanclub" had seats near the right field pole tonight. Told me despite his best efforts to be civil in a hostile environment, and despite befriending LA fans around him, he apparently took a pretty much full beer to the head on his way out.

This is not very undifferent than the behavior we experience in August when I joined him out there, and we witnessed the fans basically assault four Phillie fans who were minding their own business. However, he did want me to mention there was a Dodger fan he just met tonight who went after the guy who threw it and took a lump to the head over it. Said it is not all Dodger fans, like most cities, just 10 percent are idiots.

When talking about Lowe, what the "experts" don't mention is the fact that Phils just saw (and whupped) him three days ago. His ball had some good sink action in that game and once they figured him out, they got to him.

I'd say advantage to the hitter second time around, especially for a guy who relies on having hitters chase his low stuff and beat it in the ground. He ain't no mystery anymore and the Phils just need to make him work beginning with the first pitch.

NOTE: When I say "took it to the head" I do not mean he drank it... it was thrown.

Indeed. Patience, and a few big, well timed swings would be nice.

No dude. Lowe pitched 8 shutout innings against the Phils. Broxton closed it. Dodgers are up 3-0. Where have you been?

Yeah, he would never admit it, but its true. He is the older, successful, statistically savvy nerd, where I am the younger, meat headed, but more handsome version.

Sounds like my brother and me. Did you spend last weekend in lockup for public urination and running from the cops as well?
