I would do that, but then I would never go back and comment. Of course, maybe that's a win-win.

Why Manuel probably doesn't appreciate people throwing at a batter's head

At a game against the Lotte Orions on June 19, 1979, he was hit in the face by a pitch from Soroku Yagisawa. The pitch crushed his jaw, and he was told from his doctor that he needed at least two months to recover.

And to think several times this week I said to people "no way Moyer has two bad games in a row." I'm keeping my mouth shut about the guy now.

Sigh. It's all this economy stuff that's got Jamie all screwed up. It's really messing with people in "retirement red zone".

I haven't seen this "one more, to the left" chick, but she is incredibly hot in my mind's eye.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

My random thoughts after the game and not really reading through the majority of the thread:

Dewitt is destined for scrappy-white-guy deity status among media members very soon.

Is there any surprise that Manny was the "hold me back" guy during the fracas?

Getting blown out actually doesn't bug me as much as a close loss. Hope the Phils feel the same way.

I'm feeling very calm about all of this. No drugs or booze either. Just a conviction that this is going to work out, and that we're going to thrash the ever-loving hell out of the Dodgers tomorrow, Wednesday or both.
